Gestern wurden die neu ins Leben gerufenen Critics Choice Super Awards verliehen. Geehrt werden Filme, Serie und Veröffentlichungen für das Home Entertainment in den Genres Superhelden, Horror, Science-Fiction, Fantasy und Animation. Aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie stand die Verleihung virtuell statt, durch die Show führten Kevin Smith und Dani Fernandez.

Zu den großen Gewinnern gehörte The Boys. Die Serie sicherte räumte mit vier Auszeichnungen die meisten Preise des Abends ab. Der Legacy Award ging an das Star-Trek-Franchise, Sir Patrick Stewart und Sonequa Martin-Green nahmen die Auszeichnung hierfür entgegen.
