Im Juni werden zum 44. Mal die Saturn Awards, ein US-amerikanischer Film- und Fernsehpreis, in Burbank, Kalifornien vergeben. Der Preis ehrt die Leistungen in den Genres Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Thriller, Action und Abenteuer und wird von der Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films verliehen.

Bei den diesjährigen Nominierungen im Bereich Film hat Disney die Nase vorn: Black Panther wurde 14 Mal nominiert, dicht gefolgt von Star Wars: Die letzten Jedi mit 13 Nominierungen. 

Im Bereich TV konnte sich The Walking Dead mit sieben Nominierungen an die Spitze setzen, während Star Trek: Discovery fünf und Game of Thrones vier Nominierungen erhielt.
